The 2019 Girls Softball State Runner-Up Team to be Recognized
On Tuesday, January 21 the 2019 Lady Pirates Softball Team will be recognized during halftime of the Varsity Boys Basketball game against Highland for their State Runner-Up accomplishments. The new banner will be unveiled. Come and celebrate the success of our girls!

Winter Sports Night Friday, January 10th!
Come cheer on the Cardington Pirates as they take on the Mount Gilead Indians on Friday, January 10th! The JV game begins at 6pm with the Varsity game to follow.
The Court will be announced before the beginning of the Varsity game and a dance sponsored by the Spirit Club for students will follow immediately after the game and end at 11:30pm

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS MANDATORY MEETING
The Cardington-Lincoln High School Guidance Department
will hold a mandatory College Credit Plus meeting on December 9th at 6 PM in the high school auditorium.
Any students in grades 7-12 that are considering CCP classes next school year must attend this meeting with their parent/guardian.

Backpacks From Costco!!
For the second year in a row Costco Wholesale Club, through its Fresh Start Backpack Program will provide backpacks for students in grades Pre-K through fourth grade! That means EVERY student at Cardington Elementary in grades Pre-K through fourth grade will receive a FREE backpack for the coming school year! The 1979 State Championship Baseball Team will host an “Open House” Alumni Weekend, Saturday, May 25th from 2 to 4 PM at the high school near the baseball field. There will be a tent set up with light refreshments, displays of photos and other memorabilia. All team members, families and fans are welcome to attend to celebrate and reminisce!

Cardington Girls Advance to the District Final!
The Lady Pirates advance to the District final against Amanda-Clearcreek Friday, March 1st at Ohio Dominican. Game time is 8:30 pm. Pre-Sale tickets can be purchased at the High School office during school hours (7:15am-2:30pm) Wed. Thur. and Friday. Cost is $7.00 per ticket, Cardington schools retain $2 of every ticket sale, so please help the athletic department by purchasing your ticket through the school!
Cardington Boys Basketball Sectional Information and Bracket
The Varsity Boys (13 seed) will play Ridgedale (5 seed) in their first sectional game on February 26th at Ridgedale
Game time is 7pm
Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for students, only Central District passes will be accepted.

The Lady Pirates (3 seed) will play the winner of the North Union (20 seed) Bishop Ready (8 seed) game in their first sectional game at home on Saturday, February 23 at 1pm. (Please note that the time listed on the bracket is incorrect)

A MANDATORY Preseason Parent Meeting For ALL SPRING Athletes will be held on Monday, February 25th in the Auditorium for High School and Jr. High athletes and their parent/guardian at 6pm.
SOFTBALL STATE BOUND!
The Lady Pirates have moved on to the State Softball Championships with their 4-0 win over Eastwood on Saturday May 27. The number 4 Lady Pirates (25-4) will play on Friday, June 2, at 10am in the Firestone Stadium against against number 1 Wheelersburg (24-2). Softball moves on to the Regional Final!
The Lady Pirates beat Coldwater 8-4 to move on to the Regional Final on Saturday, May 27th. Game time is noon at Findlay High School where they will take on Eastwood. Admission is $7.00 directions can found here
Baccalaureate and Graduation Ceremonies May 20th and 21st
The Cardington Lincoln Class of 2017 will hold a Baccalaureate ceremony Saturday May 20th at 7pm in the Patrick J. Drouhard Auditorium. Pastor Paul Turner is the Baccalaureate speaker and Father Ryan Schmit will give the Invocation and Benediction to the 121st graduating class. Superintendent Brian Petrie will announce scholarship awards and the Board of Education will serve light refreshments following the ceremony.
Commencement ceremonies will take place on Sunday May 21, 2017 at 1:30pm in the Dr. Lowell Murphy Gymnasium.
Free Sports Physicals
Free Sports Physicals are available to any Morrow County Jr. High or High School student (grades 7-12 for the 2017 – 2018 school year) who will be participating in any sport/activity during the 17-18 school year. THE CARDINGTON-LINCOLN DRAMA DEPARTMENT PRESENTS “SINGIN IN THE RAIN JR.”
Come out for an evening or afternoon of entertainment and fun! The Cardington-Lincoln Drama Department will perform “Singin in the Rain Jr.” on the evenings of Friday March 4th, Saturday March 5th and the afternoon of Sunday March 6th. Evening performances are at 7:30pm and the afternoon performance is at 2:30pm. Tickets sales at the door are $5.00 per person.
Internet Safety for Parents
On May 9th nationally recognized Internet Safety presenter Jesse Weinberger will speak to parents, educators, law enforcement and other community members about Internet Safety at the Mount Gilead High School at 7pm. The presentation is for parents of children of ALL ages, topics include: Understanding Social Media & Media Literacy, Cyberbullying, Sexting and Sexual Predation. KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION MAY 2ND AND 4TH
Call the Elementary Office 419-864-6692 to schedule an appointment for kindergarten registration. Registration appointments are available on May 2nd and 4th between 9am and 5pm.
Please bring the following admission requirements to your appointment:
- Must have birth certificate and any custody documents (Must be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2017)
- Immunization record (must meet state requirements)
- Proof of residency (lease/mortgage agreement or utility bill no cell phone bills)
- All required documents must be presented at time of screening
Preschool Screenings For the 2017-2018 School year
Cardington-Lincoln Schools are now enrolling preschool students for the 2017-18 school year. If your child will be ages 3-5 by August 1, 2017, and you are interested in sending your child to preschool, please call the Elementary office at 419-864-6692 to set up a screening appointment. Screenings are currently being scheduled for March 17th and April 7th. Appointments will take approximately thirty minutes.
CARDINGTON COMMUNITY & HEALTH FAIR
On Tuesday March 7th the Cardington-Lincoln Elementary will host a Community & Health Fair in the Elementary Gym and Cafeteria from 4:40-6:30pm. Come out and learn how staying healthy is like finding a treasure chest full of gold! Many local businesses, representatives from community service organizations and school groups will be present with information. Door prizes will be given away every half an hour, demonstrations in the cafeteria and babysitting is available. District Final Information
The Lady Pirates will take on Columbus Africentric Friday March 3rd at Ohio Dominican University 6pm in the District final. Pre-sale tickets will be available for $7 in the High School Office Thursday during the regular school day, Thursday evening during the High School boys basketball game and Friday morning until noon. For each pre-sale ticket sold $1.50 goes back to the district. No passes will be accepted for admission.
CARDINGTON IMPROV PRESENTS “MISSION IMPROVABLE”
On Friday, February 17th the Cardington Improv team will present “Mission Improvable”. Show time is 7:30 pm in the Cardington High School Auditorium admission is $3 at the door. Come out and support the team and have some laughs while you do!

Washington DC Raffle to Begin on November 18th
