Technology

Welcome

The Department of Information Technology supports the infrastructure and maintenance of all technology for the district schools, administration, and transportation. We are responsible for the overall strategy, support, and delivery of information technology across the district, and as a result, play an integral part in enabling the daily learning activities of our students.

Our District Mission

Leading all students to college, career, and civic readiness.

Technology Philosophy

In the Cardington-Lincoln Local School District, our students are true digital natives. They have never known a world without instant connectivity, global information hubs, or collaborative digital platforms. Because they have grown up in a tech-saturated environment, their cognitive approaches, how they synthesize information and solve problems, have fundamentally evolved.

In a world where a 30-second video can replace a 50-page manual, the goal of educational technology isn't just to provide access to tools, but to provide the ability and understanding to use them effectively.

Our Mission: Beyond the Screen

In conjunction with the Curriculum & Instruction Department, the Department of Information Technology focuses on moving students from passive consumers to intentional creators. We prioritize six core competencies essential for success in the modern workforce:

  • Critical Thinking: Navigating misinformation and analyzing data integrity.
  • Strategic Research: Mastering information literacy in an era of AI and infinite data.
  • Seamless Collaboration: Working across digital boundaries and time zones.
  • Radical Adaptability: Pivoting as technology and industry standards shift.
  • Dynamic Communication: Expressing ideas clearly across diverse digital mediums.
  • Professional Presentation: Leveraging multimedia to tell compelling stories.

Supporting Our Educators

We believe technology should be a catalyst, not a complication. Our team works side-by-side with teachers to integrate digital tools into the curriculum in ways that enhance the human element of teaching. We aim to make technology an invisible engine for inspiration—transforming it from a classroom burden into a powerful educational blessing.
