CONGRATULATIONS, PIRATES!!!

CLES 3rd Grade Visits Cardington Post Office

The CLES third grade visited the Cardington Post Office this morning and got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how mail magic happens! Post Master Long gave us a thorough tour of the facility, showing us how the mail is sorted for delivery, the interior of a mail truck, and other interesting details. Prior to the visit, students had been practicing writing their address on envelopes, making sure to include all the correct details like street names and zip codes so that they could mail home a letter that they had written. It was an amazing hands-on learning experience, giving valuable real world skills to our students!!! CLLS extends it gratitude to the Cardington Post Office for hosting our 3rd graders today!!!

Whether it was at the elementary school, the middle school, or the high school, so many great things happening on the CLLSD campus! Being able to attend first hand and support all activities, such as improv, theater, athletic contests, FFA ceremonies and events, LIFT and SAIL programs, music concerts and more has been absolutely amazing! Celebrating our students and staff family is what the CLLSD is all about!! Not on the CLLSD official Instagram page?? Go check it out!" ~ Todd Spinner, CLLSD Superintendent

ARBOR DAY PRESENTATIONS AT CLES

Today, CLES third-grade students marked Arbor Day with engaging lessons and informative presentations about the importance of trees. Director Kelsey Wicker from the Cardington-Lincoln Public Library visited with our students and shared a story about trees. Tyler Butler from Morrow County Soil and Water Conservation then joined us, gifting each student a Buckeye tree and providing an educational lesson on the differences between deciduous and conifer trees, as well as step-by-step instructions on tree planting.

CLES would like to thank the Cardington-Lincoln Public Library, Kelsey Wicker, Tyler Buter, and the Morrow County Soil and Water Conservation District for taking the time to provide a learning opprtunity for our students. We are also deeply grateful for the generous gift of trees that each student received, which will serve as a reminder of the importance of trees and the impact they have on our environment!!

A special thank you to Dawn Ruehrmund , CLES 3rd grade teacher, for the information and photos!!!

The Board and Mr. Spinner are sharing these to help keep families informed about where district leadership stands and the potential impact these changes could have on our school community. It also serves as a reminder of how much can be accomplished when a small community works together around an issue that affects everyone.

CLHS NATIONAL FFA CHAMPION CONDUCT OF CHAPTER MEETINGS TEAM IS RECOGNIZED AT THE OHIO STATEHOUSE

On Wednesday, February 18th, our National Champion Conduct of Chapter Meetings team was recognized at the Ohio Statehouse by both Senator Bill Reineke, who represents the 26th District, and Representative Riordan McClain, who represents the 87th District. The day kicked off with an official tour of the statehouse. After which, they had the unique opportunity to meet with the official Parliamentarian of the House of Representatives. He spoke about the rules and conventions of their meetings and organizational structure. He even put up the voting screen and allowed the students to vote at the representatives seats! The team received a Resolution from the Ohio Senate in a meeting with Senator Reineke, President Pro-Temp, and his staff. They were then recognized on the Ohio House floor during session by Rep. McClain before getting to witness the House in action. We want to thank our congressmen for their hospitality and for being so present with their constituents!!

CLLS would like to extend its congratulations to the team and former FFA Advisor Erin

Wollett!!!
