CARDINGTON-LINCOLN THIRD GRADE TAKES A WALKING TOUR

Today, the third grade visited the Civil War Monument at the Glendale Union Cemetery. They learned about the history of the monument and of its recent restoration. The students also learned what Memorial Day is and why we celebrate it. They then walked to Heimlich Park to play in the playground. While there, the students learned about how the park came to be and then heard from Lisa Brake, who led a campaign to get a playground placed in the park. The students had a great time exploring and learning about the community. A special thank you to Lisa Brake and the CLES Third Grade team for providing this opportunity!!! Thank you to CLES Third Grade teacher Sydney Tucker for the pictures!!!!
